Network
With other providers, many servers are just connected to one Internet Service Provider (like some hosting servers provided by ISPs themselves). This means that if something goes wrong with the ISP, the server will stop working.

Data Centre

Power
Summit Hosting's servers offer complete power redundancy. The servers are connected to multiple power grids, with dual power generators onsite and backup battery power.

Conditions
Servers are kept in clean-rooms with raised floors and static-free tile. A-grade heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems with glycol, chilled water and condenser units provided by Data Aire are also in operation. This extra redundancy in temperature control insures the servers will always be at their peak performance.

Security
The data centre is monitored 24 hours a day with motion-sensitive closed circuit cameras. All sensitive areas are protected by state-of-the-art security with keycard access locks.

Fire Suppression
A pre-action dry pipe system with VESDA (Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus) and more than 600 smoke detectors are in the data centre. 

In short, it would take an atomic bomb to take this data-centre down!

Server Specs
The servers bought for Summit Hosting's customers' use are top-of-the-line servers from the Dell Corporation. On average, the servers used have 1 GB of ECC RAM with the latest Pentium Processor at the time of purchase. We spare no expense in using the best servers, to ensure maximum speed and reliability.
